Windsor & Eton Bowling Club
                                         2010 Open Day

The 2010 Open Day was somewhat special. As well as setting out to attract new bowlers to the club, it was
structured as a fun charity day whereby all monies raised were donated to the HELP for HEROES fund.

Pauline Hayward, Social Secretary, organised the highly successful event. It involved the clubhouse being decked out
in St.George's flags and stalls set up for the sale of hotdogs/burgers and plants. There was also a
very successful tombola stand.

Nineteen bowlers registered to try out bowling on the green.

In keeping with the HELP for HEROES theme, three soldiers from the Blues and Royals were in
attendance. They were:

Jason Petit, Charles Du-Toit and Richard Speaight of the Blues and Royals

The soldiers had a brief coaching season with George Hayman before taking part in a match.

The day was a huge success with 710 raised for the fund.
